That code is going to be a key factor. One thing I had was the clip on the intake that holds the wiring harness up off the fuel rail (broke) and the wiring rubbed through and was shorting out on the fuel rail when the engine was under torque. It would start up right away after it shut down, but it set codes for that circuit. Have you tried wigling and pushing the wiring harness around to see if anything shorts or malfunctions when you do that?

Put the code reader back on today. My specific code is P0001 - Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Open. This is the same code that I had before changing the fuel pressure regulator.
Preformed all diagnostics for the code but it passed them. Proper voltage on supply side. Low ohm resistance between single side (pin 2) and ECU pin 89 to indicate wire is connected and consistent.

Yet to check fuel cap vacuum, wire harness short as mentioned by someone else, fuel return line blockage. Possibly in tank pump not supplying adequate pressure. Haven't taken to dealer but have done same thing as dealer and just like them haven't found the problem.

Fuel cap vacuum isn't the problem. Ran it without the cap and had the same issue.
I don't think there's a return line issue. Inspected and can hear fuel dumping back into the tank when the cap is off.
No visible issues with wires; they enter a major harness quickly that as well protected and in tact.

Plot twist. I cleared the code and have the same engine shut down but can't seem to generate the P0001 code and longer.

I'm leaning towards a harness issue. if you can, hook the meter measuring voltage, and slowly move the wiring harness around. Rrab it in different areas, especially where the motor torque would flex it. Watch the meter closely. If it even makes a hiccup, there's something there. Open circuit code could be a broken wire, bad connection, or at absolute worst, an ECU issue.
