I swapped out my plexiglass windshield for real auto glass (from a glass shop) and never liked how much the frame shook in the wind. So I made this quick bracket that took ALL the wiggle out. If you're still running plexiglass, I'd probably recommend getting two.
I used the existing holes in the dash to install nut rivets. If you don't have a nut rivet crimper, you can use the extra nut and reach up from underneath instead.
For $30 (includes shipping), you get:
- 1 bracket with a stainless nut rivet already installed on top
- 2 – 1/4" stainless steel Phillips pan head bolts
- 2 – 1/4" stainless lock washers
- 1 – 1/4" nut rivet (requires a rivet tool; you'll need to drill the hole out bigger to fit)
- 1 – 1/4" stainless nut (use this if you don't have a nut rivet crimper)
