Has anyone used an off road app like OnX or Gaia? There has to be something better than Google Maps. That thing is going to get me shot.😁 More than once it had me go down a private road and a couple of times went down a driveway into someone's home.😳 No big deal as long as they're understanding and not cooking meth.🤣

I use OnX offroad and highly recommend it. You can get the app and do a trial period and check out the Elite Membership features for free.
Been watching YouTube videos of folks using OnX. The program looks great. I have a trip planned for the end of this month (hopefully it'll be warmer) and I'll try the free 7 day trial.
THANKS BAM!👍

The oldest son had a map app that showed a road across the end of our property. Way back when we had a Country School about One Mile North of our property. They had opened up a fence row for a narrow road for the School Kids who lived on numerous homesteads behind our property. The road was half on the Smith side and half on my side of the property line. My best guess is the School was built just after the Civil War, and has been gone forever. I moved the fence back on the property line where it belonged 40 years ago when I rebuilt the fence. The rest of that road was long gone before that. I have no idea where the Map App got the information that a road had ever been their. It is not on County Maps at the Court House, and was never a County Maintained Road.

Yep. That's the issue with Google Maps. Not sure where they get the info or how long ago. We were on an off road trip last year and drove down an old portion of a local highway for several miles. Then, within a couple hundred yards of getting back on the new highway, the county or state had put giant borders across the road. No other way out, steep drops on each side, than going back.😡😡 Not horrible but frustrating.
