I drove the roxor painstakingly for 2 years as my daily, despite being uncomfortable in many ways I dont regret it. anyone else done this or similar? Any hacks or tricks you picked up along the way? Anyone that added on aftermarket HVAC?

I live approximately 15 miles out from where I work. Every day the temperature is 60 or above, and not Raining, I drive the Roxor to work.
Where I live I can drive the Roxor for miles in any direction pretty much staying off Numbered Highways. Rocky is not Street Legal here in Missouri for highway use, and cannot be made street legal without doing a Donor Rebuild using a Jeep with a Title for the donor. I have considered this, but so far I drive pretty much anywhere that I want to as is. An advantage of living in a low population rural area. I also have a farm, and Rocky has the appropriate Reflective Triangle, Flashers, etc required to have Farm Equipment on a Highway. Still better staying off Numbered Highways unless really needing to drive on one.

I am in the process of making Rocky a lot more weather proof. At the moment I am cleaning up a 1988 YJ Jeep Windshield Assembly. This will gain me dual synchronized, two speed Wipers. My installation plan should also seal up the YJ Windshield way better than the Fortress Windshield that is presently on it.

Next up will be Jeep Half Doors, with Wire Frame Uppers. This will require some serious fabrication work, but it should be doable. This is a Two Step Project. First getting the Windshield Installed, then fitting the doors, and closing the sides in.

After that will be a Heater.

Rocky has Truck-Lite Turn Signals, Heavy Bumpers on both ends. The Rear Bumper is a Cecco Farm Bumper. It will pull a trailer with no risk of damaging the Roxor. I have ran 235/85R16 10 Ply Tires on Rocky since brand new. The Dealer roll backed Rocky to the house, and I reloaded the Roxor on my car trailer and went directly to the tire shop and swapped tires. I also have added the Two Piece Hard Cab Rear Bulkhead from Diesel Freak. I really like it and the top half being glass makes it easy to see out of. Little things like swapping out the under seat storage compartment locks for turn knobs. Locks might be great for some, however I am digging out Tow Straps and Soft Shackles frequently and locks are a pain in the tail.

If I were giving advice on building your Roxor, it would be to make a plan on how you want it when completed. If only a Dream at this time. Decide on what you want to add to your Roxor, and then do not do anything that will cause you to need to do a serious redo later as you add things. Think It Out, and do Research before proceeding. This can be as simple as laying out your Planned Rocker Switch's in the dash, not just slapping them in at random as you add things requiring power. An Example might be Lighting. Front Light Bar-Rear Light Bar-Interior Lights all in one row. In the Thought and Research Plan get High Quality Back Lit Switch's, and not cheap junk from the Auto Parts store. You will be much happier down the road doing it right the first time. Doing it right the first time is good advice on most additions to your Roxor.

Ive been daily driving mine since I bought it (whenever I joined this forum). I made mine much more daily driveable and have no regrets now.. I installed a full cab, rear seats for kids and passengers, insulation to keep noise down and heat/ac in, shocks so its not so dang bumpy, hub locks so its less noisy, electric fan conversion on the way and a tune on the way. Also headlights and a stereo that are better than any BMW i've owned... I have no regrets! Only thing I really NEEED are new front seats. The stock ones not being able to recline is a sore subject in my house with a pregnant fiance.

Bestop 20 seat position capable is a stellar option, with DF seat adapters, best daily driver upgrade before replacing the shocks....do you have condensation issues within the cab when using the AC? What kind of HVAC did you do? Does HVAC hold up in 100 degree heat?

As we have a lot of rain here the one thing left is to caulk the back of the cab. a the dimples on the fenders and floor have gaps between them letting water in and with the front a bit lower than the back the water flows to the front on the floor and through the storage compartments.
Might add that when I built the cab the back starts at the top of the wheel wells. Gives me some room behind the seats. Very handy to have drinks or goodies there.

I am using mine daily. Built my own windshield frame and installed CJ glass and wiper system. Also fabricated a fiberglass top. I stay mostly dry unless in a downpour. Added heater to keep my toes defrosted. Working on half doors now. NC is good about allowing utility vehicles to use most roads without a hassle. Coastal towns encourage golf carts and utvs which frees up parking for tourists. I like the austere open feel and am a luddite at heart. I use it as I do my old motorcycle and avoid congested traffic or fast highways.

You handcrafted a full enclosure? How labor intensive and skillful must you be?

I was thinking of cutting a plastic crate to fit the floor so everything would be up off floor about 1/2" in case water comes in from box

I used a fortress top and windshield as a starting point for a full inclosure. Built my own doors and rear bulkhead. Added heat for all year use, and have over 45k miles running mine daily to my farm and hunting trips. I also did Max's jeep suspension and bilstein shocks. I wish I had windshield wipers, but it's pretty dry in western Kansas!

I have an all weather 2022 with
27,000 miles. Only problem leaks a lot when in rains. Drive almost everyday 30 to 40 miles.

I cut up a barn mat used for horses. It is about 3.4in thick. Cut to fit from the storage boxes to up under the pedals. It really cut down on noise and made the floor more solid. Used what was left of it to fit the back of my cab. keeps the cargo area from being beat up.

Hardcaps sells floor mat just for the roxor. They fit great and allow for water draining. I think the pair are $99.00. The bed mat cost about the same.
I am impressed with the fit and function.

It is water tight. Caulked the floor of the bed and up the fender sides as the cab extends to the top of the wheel wells. Put a small piece of rubber across the windshield where the cab comes over the cj windshield. i do get some noise from the air coming around the windshield. I did put some stick on padding on the roof and walls.

I guess I am cheap. Bought the mat, cut to fit works well. WAY under your price.

Used some2x3 and 1x1 square tubing and skinned with 20 gauge flat steel. Used an air nibbler to do the cutting for windows and straight cuts. Shot it with a coat of primer and painted. Lately just rattle canned it in camo. Looks so much better lol.

Id be afraid to possibly trap water particles that will eventually lead to rust forming
