I started a Book at the Hardware Store around Eight Years ago. I just went through it, and rewrote it this week. I have phone numbers for all regular customers. I have pages listing Carpenters, Plumbers, Electricians, HVAC, Tree Trimmers, Handymen, and the list goes on for many pages. Lots of people in town know about my Book and come in when they need the name and phone number of someone to do a job.
When buying my new Hard Cover Book for the Hardware Store, I bought Two. The second is my ROXOR Book. Like most everyone else I cannot afford to do all of my ROXOR Modifications at one time. Also what I am planning to do keeps evolving as I read about different things others have done. This got me to thinking about getting important information down on paper so this information is easy to locate later.
I am just getting started on the Book. Page ONE is about the TAULER Jack Kit by Brennan's Garage. It lists recommended brands of Jacks to use with the kit, etc.
Page Two has information about the Diesel Freak Twin Stick Kit. I have parts numbers recorded for Gaskets, parts numbers for the Kaiser Willys Adjustable Poppet Plugs, What Grease goes in the Transfer Case, etc.
Page Three is about Limited Slip Units. Just getting this page going.
I have read over hundreds of pages of posts, and watch lots of You Tube Video on things to do to the ROXOR, or Jeep things that still apply to the ROXOR. Having this information recorded would have been handy. I have made Notes on what I was working on or planning to work on over the last couple years. As soon as the project was completed the notes went in the trash. I now see where writing down useful information where it can be kept is a very good plan. I should have started this Book two years ago when I bought my ROXOR. Even better, I probably should have started making notes around 2018 when I first started reading posts on this site.
