Yes, 1,500 miles is more than many UTV riders log in a year. But the SAME oil in the SAME engine is good for FAR more than 5,000 miles.
If you are driving around the farm in dust, once a year is still great.
I change oil in my Nissan Frontier every 5,000 miles - and I drive it a over 70 MPH and it takes 5 quarts.
My Roxor will never see more than 55 MPH - and has 7.4 quarts of oil.
My GOAL is to put on more than 5,000 miles a year - and I will happily spend a few bucks for an oil change!!!

Once a year or 5000 m is plenty especially if you have the EGR removed.
