Body panels pre lawsuit

It's been awhile but I've got a blue 2018 Roxor. Low miles and WAS in good shape. Long story short, blasting through snow banks on the property, caught traction on the driveway and hit a tree on the LH front fender and bumper. The bumper I was able to pull out to where it looks good enough. The fender on the other hand needs to be replaced. I've called 2 dealers. The first one said all the body panels for the original roxor are no longer available regardless of what the online catalog says. The other says it's just backordered and Mahindra will paint match the new fender. I was a bit taken back by that. Didn't think they would paint match it before they shipped it. I haven't heard back yet from the 2nd dealer as they were confirming everything with the VIN last I checked.

After looking at the Mahindra Thar fenders, they aren't exactly the same. The inner fender is different and they have extra holes for the front mount blinker assembly. Which is too bad because a new one of those cost wise converts to about a 100 bucks. Not including shipping of course...

Has anyone else had a similar experience or know where to definitively acquire the older style body panels?

Heck if someone has a blue drivers fender that's in good shape I would be interested in that too. Or even the entire front clip.

You might check with Torque King and Wade at Diesel Freak. I think both might have a wrecked one. Worth checking.

I appreciate the info. I do see some body panels on ebay for sale, although not mint. I'll look into torque king and diesel freak. I've bought parts from both. I'm still waiting to hear back from mother mahindra. I'm hoping they still have them. I mean, that fender goes to 2021 I believe, one would think they would have lots of them available.

Production was halted for 2020 and 2021 due to the lawsuit from Stellantis, so you have a 2-year parts window. Production picked up in 2022 with the new version.

The Mother Ship is hard to get info from.

Reporting back. Mahindra no longer has any of the original generation front sheet metal. Luckily I believe diesel freak will be able to provide me a fender. Wade mentioned to me that Mahindra actually had to destroy the inventory of body panels as a requirement of the lawsuit. Terrible. If you have a first gen Roxor, drive safely.

I think the short hood CJs from 50s to 60’s era could work. Only issue is the lip on the side of the fender isn’t on them. If you were able to get the front clip and hood to work then some body work on the cowl lip edge to blend in with the tub would make it look back to new. Aside from that I bet some parts shipped from India might work as well. part of owning these is being resourceful.

I have a front clip that you're looking for - but I'm on the other side of the country (Washington State)

Yeah, too far for me to ship. I did get a fender from diesel freak. I don't think the hood would be terrible to get, in the parts catalogue it has a normal mahindra part number that is directly from the Thar. Not sure about shipping it though.

But.... the plot thickens, one of the original dealers I called before, got word back from Mahindra and they say they can get them. I even had them confirm the correct part number. Mother Mahindra says Jan 18th. Ironically my birthday. If they come through, I will get back and notify.
