Picked up my '25 roxor a couple days ago. EGR plates I fabbed by cutting the original EGR pip and flux core welding it sealed after cutting the pipe out. Well, I decided I may as well get rid of the CAT too. Here what I did-
3 bolts bottom flange of cat connecting to the pip after cat, three holding to turbo side. Two bolts near back of engine holding the cat in place. THERES A HIDDEN BOLT AS WELL. Feel around back of the cat.
Take air cleaner out and the cat will come out from up top. Don't bother trying to get it out from the bottom, way easier up top.
Cut a rectangle in the middle on the side that faces the engine (so you can't see the flux welds). Make it a pretty big rectangle.
Use a drill and drill a bunch of holes through the particulate filter media (whatever its called), then grab pliers and pull it all out after its broken up. Weld it back closed and reinstall.
Zero check engine lights, no chance of emissions crap failing on this diesel anymore.. Every diesel I've owned has had emissions problems, not this one!
Edit:
Sound difference - Not huge but it sounds more 'throaty'. Little deeper. Nothing crazy. No crazy HP gains or anything. But this mahindra didn't feel anorexic to begin with imo coming from a 22r.
